I very nearly messed up - big time - with this guy. I not only undercoated him in black, but I ALSO sprayed red primer onto him, which was WAY too thick, obscuring lots of detail.
If there is one type of Space Marine model that you don't want to mess up the detailing on, it is the Sternguard, because their kit is LOVELY.
If you combine the Sternguard kit with some of the bits from the Death Company box set, then you can personalise the Sternguard really well.
I *think* I managed to get away with it and get quite a bit of the detail back onto the model, but I'm still not 100% happy with him. Nevertheless, he is done! Hurray!
